What is Co-Living?

Co-Living is sharing a home with other like-minded people. You have your own, private, locked bedroom, and simply share the common areas. Everyone passes a background check, chips in with cleaning, and is a working professional.

Now if you are a social butterfly, that’s great.  Just keep in mind that we don’t have too many parties/events at the houses. Of course, we want you to be social and mingle with your neighbors, but this isn’t college.  This community is geared towards the working professional. If you’re a pretty low-key person, flexible, and don’t mind living with others, then co-living might be for you!

Sure, you sacrifice privacy with co-living, but you pay about 50% of what you would, on your own! Stashing away an extra $600 to $800 a month adds up, quickly!

What does FIRE stand for?

FIRE stands for “Financial Independence, Retire Early.”  Essentially, it is all about creating as much revenue as possible, while living below your means and resisting the “lifestyle creep.” When you do this, you greatly increase your savings rate, build up a nest egg, and then invest to have your money working for you, vs. the opposite.

Most people believe that FIRE is just for people who earn six-figure salaries, but everyone can benefit from the movement’s ideas, which can help people save for retirement and even attain an early retirement. Remember that the first half of FIRE stands for financial independence, which allows you to work doing you enjoy rather than something you have to do after you retire. FIRE is more than just about retiring early; it also teaches you how to invest well, in every area of your life!
